Thunderbolt and DisplayPort use the same connector but I believe it only works with Macs. Apple cut off the feature in Mojave, so I doubt they’ve devoted much development time to making it windows compatible. I think it’s thunderbolt-only too, not just DisplayPort. _

Same problem with the links in your blog post Sam. As far as I can tell, you can’t download from the App Store anything earlier than the OS of the machine you're downloading on. So if you want to download an installer for an older (and broken) machine that can’t be updated, you’re stuffed. P
