Sketchup is very good. Also, my daughter is doing Architectural Technology at
Uni and was introduced to it in the first year of her course as a very good
lead-in before going onto AutoCad.

City Link have delivered as promised so I'm about to upgrade to Lion from Snow
Leopard, and then install the horribly expensive InDesign, Illustrator and
Acrobat updates. Oh and then I guess get mired in the confusion of iCloud. So

AutoCAD is truly dreadful. It's so bad (for designing) that I went to visit
AutoDESK to ask them what it was for, since it was useless for design.
They said it was for making legal documents. Industry standard (what a truly
dreadful concept) it is an enormous impediment to designing.
