The new Fortress works after all.Sorry FMA ! !
As Steve suggested, I had the modulation shift wrong. I think my error was
being new to the Stylus.
I don't remember my JR allowing me to get the shift wrong... if I did the
servos didn't work, and certainly not 5 work and one fail.

Greetings,
I have been following the Schulze thread with much interest as I am

get a comparison of the Schulze vs the Graupner Ultra Plus II.

The Addiction is an unlimited Thermal Duration glider that's had a lot of

With all the "publicity" about FMA over the past year or so,
a quote from P.T. Barnum springs to mind.

Something is seriously defective with the last two FMA Fortresses I've
picked up.
I got one yesterday, and out of the box channels 5 and 6 (flaps/Stylus)
were very jittery with lots of noise. So I returned and the kid behind the
counter said they'd just have to send it back to FMA on my time and

Mike,
Go with the Javelin.
The Javelin handles and flies like a true HLG. It flies MUCH better than
the 1-26 in flat out performance, but it's not as durable as the 1-26. The
Javelin will reward you if you build it well, the 1-26 doesn't really care,
as long as the wings aren't twisted.

I use an Edwards high vacuum pump and use 29.85 inches of vacuum (1 torr) on all my
foam core wings then put 120 lbs of lead on top
of the cores. I estimate the total load on the the cores to be about 2500 lbs. I've
never squashed a pink foam core. Anything
over 15 inches will probably do.

I'm a sport flyer myself and love the S1-26. It's easy to build and
flies well for what I need.

I just ordered an Esprit from Sean and he was very helpful and imformative.
My friend has ordered two Esprits in the recent past and the service has
been excellent.
The Mueller product is supreme.
I would not hesitate to order from Aero-Model.

I've been using some of the newer, less expensive servos for a while now in
HLG's, electrics, and 2-meters.
Some are really good (hs50's, cs25-30's...) some not so good.
I'm going to be outfitting several unlimiteds and don't look forward to
paying $360 a plane for servos.
So who has experience w
Hello,
I'm sending this Email from my Father's account. Had a quick question
concerning the proper pressure I should set the vacuum pump when bagging a
HLG wing panel using Corning pink foam. The CST instructions call for 6
inches. Is this enough, or is that just where to start it out at.

I would like to know of the techniques used to realign a v-tail with
symetric foils after a fuse break This would be a quality break with pieces
missing so that the fuse does'nt index completely. My current method takes
several shop hours and flying hours to get the decalage reset.

I like the West System and have had no problems with the pumps when used

For using quantities less than the amounts the pump delivers there is an
easy answer. Fill a 2 oz. syringe with resin and a 1/2 or one ounce
syringe with hardener. Then you can squirt out the required ratios as
