I've never found a way to take the curl out. What I do now is unpack the
rolled up mylar as soon as I get it and open up the roll to at least a one
foot diameter. ACP and CST like to roll the stuff up so it fits in a 4"
square box and then maybe send it out to ride in a hot UPS truck.

If you are particularly clever, you'll even put it on the bias, i.e., with
the thread running at 45 degrees to the hinge line. Twice as many fibers
holding both edges together.
