Compliments and kudos to Rcd/Hitec service. I recently sent them a
receiver that had crashed. It was about 10 years old and out of
warrantee. I recieved it back in less than 2 weeks, repaired at no
charge.

Just finished the driveway for the second time. Not as much in my area of
Michigan, maybe 6 to 8 but a lot a wind and two foot drifts in the drive.
Kids are coming, grandkids are coming, wife is going nuts with cooking so I
came up to my office to hide.
It will be a busy and fun filled couple
Hey Team!
Here in Minneapolis, we missed The Big One. Unlike Muncie, the ground is
barely covered with white stuff. However, the temps are minus -10 to -15
below zero. Hi (daytime) temp may hit +2.
Just thought I would mention a tradition which our club conducts each
January. We schedule

Traditionally, we just pile in the plane and head down to Cozumel for a couple
of weeks of diving and some margartias.

I think this falls under the category of you are nuts.
Here is AZ it is 59 today far too cold to go out and fly. Might take in a
movie though.
It is nice to be able to fly almost all of the 365. Some once asked me,
when is your building season? I said that is also 365, it is called night
Darwin,
Hell, 59 Deg is shorts and t-shirt weather up here this time of year. Of
course todays high is only 20 which is probably shorts and t-shirt weather for
Bill's Club up north.

I spent a springtime as a young USAAF pilot in Amarillo. I remember going
out for P.Y. in gym clothes. In the next hour it went from a warm spring
day to wind storm, to rain, to hail to sleet to snow. Guess who froze what
by the time we got back to the barracks. Conclusion there is nothing

Yep, Chuck you are right, we can't fly comfortably year round here. We
actually have two building seasons here in Dallas. Late December through
March, when you are lucky to find a weekend when the temps get into the 50's
and the winds are below15 MPH. The other is July through Mid-September
We schedule a "Freeze Fly" on New Years Day. A dozen
hardy soulshead out on the surface of a frozen lake launch a few sailplanes
with ahi-starts, hand launch and electric park flyers
Say it ain't so, a dozen is good enough for LSF3 contest
points!
Stop the madness of fun flying! Organize

When I was young boy, we used carry the TX, sailplane, winch and battery
five miles through 4 feet of snow. Uphill. And
Few days ago someone had or has a Pike Superior for sale. Is it still available ? Mike

Then there's California.especially Southern California. Its cold today
(mid 60s) and its a bit windy, not that good
Thanks for the reminder Gordy. Tidewater Model Soaring Society is holding
their Annual Hardy Souls Contest, AMA Sanctioned, on January 1, 2005. We or
someone is going to fly. The Pilot's Meeting is at 0930 and the contest will
be held at the Isle of Wight Field located on Rte 258 between

You mean you're not comfortable at 110 deg. with 90%

hope that doesn't mean the Good Lord is trying to tell
me something...

Now I know your pulling our leg. High starts will stretch but will
not pull back for a launch - they just freeze in place.

My one man club tradition is to get on a big silver bird with the two big A's
on the arse end and head to Arizona for the holidays. Now I know Darwin is
feeling a bit cool in the extremities, but upon leaving Richmand IN yesterday

It can, but not always. Leave the pack alone for a day or so, then
measure the pack V (no load). If you do not see at least 4V, one or more
cells will need replacing. Replacing the bad cells will depend on how
new the pack is to start with. It may be in your best interest to
replace the entire
