I just take the .pdf on a CD to FedEx Kinko's and have it printed full size
on their paper. Lay it out on the foam, follow the edges carefully while
cutting the first time and it can't get much cheaper than that. Store the

I'm making a foamy electric pusher F-18 from plans by 3d Foamy. I have full
size templates I downloaded and printed out to use when cutting fan fold foam.
What's the best template material in terms of a workable compromise between

They both will work. I don't like to let it dangling right under the wing.
Landings and launches can catch the Antenna and it can break and you will
not even noticed it till after the next launch. If you exit the fuse after

If you do not mind the antenna exiting the fuselage just behind the wing and
dangling, or being suspended to the vertical fin, all the more power to you. I

Does this mean that with a carbon/kevlar weave fuselage, the safest
thing to do is exit the fuse as soon as possible and either let the
antenna dangle below in the breeze; or tape it to the top of the
vertical fin(s)? So as to elimate any shielding/shadowing effect?
