Thanks to Tom
Koszuta and all of the Western New York Soaring and Electric Flyers for inviting
Reece and I to attend their contest yesterday. It's the first time I've flown
UNL in about 18 months and boy does it show! I had a great day, met a lot of
good people and will definitely be back

Hi Dave,
If you check sub paragraph 1.4, on page 9 of the rules
posted on the Masters website, you see in very fine print that all entries
received on the same day

The baseball World Series Championship Games we enjoy at the end of the season never was intended to be a'best of the world'. It was originally a series of baseball games to determine the bestin a series - a series that was sponsored bythe World Newspaper!Hence the name.Blue skies,

I agree.
But
The World Soaring Masters was not meant to be a World Championship. The use
of World in the name is meant to make it an invitation to the world's soaring
pilots to come and compete. We do have many pilots from around the world that

I guess you are assuming an American will win this event... ;-)
P.S. From some of the people I hear that are attending, that might not be
the case.

For those of us not fortunate (???) enough to live within a reasonable distance of Muncie, when will entry confirmation go out? Travel arrangements are already tough to make, and I don't plan to make mine until I know I'm in. Are you making any arrangements with the local hotels for good
Daryl Perkins wrote:

I'm with you D. I'm a bit skeptical of it being called the Masters too.
Not that there won't be several there, but it's open to any and all.
It should require some sort of qualifying.

Jo's trip, housing and all his required liquid refreshment ?
If true, does that mean you will fly your new Super Ava ? I suppose that could
also mean no sun in Muncie that weekend.
Comments Gordy.
