Mark Navarre died Sunday when his ASW-20 impacted terrain on the white mountains.
He was one of my best friends, and we had the best times ever flying both full scale and R/C gliders together.

I did a bit (3.5 hours) of flying today out in Elsinore, Ca. I found myself low (600 feet) patiently working a tiny 100 fpm thermal until it built up enough to get me away again. I really focused on slow(ish) tight slightly slipped turns, and on keeping my head on the head rest, as the G-loading

Doug Reel and Kyle Paulson both joined the 190mph+ DS club at Vincent today. They were flying two new 2meter molded DS Extremes, and recording speeds with a radar gun.
They both recorded top speeds of 192,andDoug was "cruising" in the high 180's while talking about the servos etc. and the 100"

Slider for camber is good. Sliding, not digital, elevator trim equally good and correct, for the same reasons.
