Some of you may remember the Easter Week Massacre at Laguna Niguel. That was when a certain person who doesn't like R/C gliders allegedly was shooting the planes with an air-rifle and a wrist rocket. Despite the fact that he is now being to treated to a party by the Superior Court of California he is now apparently up to more shennanigans. Even though I had just got my invitation to his party, a very nice blue one labelled "SUBPEONA-CRIMINAL" with the theme being "The People of The State of California, Plaintiff VS. Valbuena, Stephen," he still felt the need for more fun and games. Must be his patriotic spirit.
His new party game at the slope is "shoot down the gliders with spurious RF signals." Today we had numerous unexplained obvious interference caused crashes on several frequencies. A phone call was made. A scanner was brought out. Yep, VERY strong signal on latest frequency to be affected, no TX's on. No immediate action by us, waited for more data. Crash, Crash. Police called, more fun. If this continues it will be the People of the United States of America VS. Moron, Psychotic. I wonder if he realizes that deliberate destruction of property and endangering of persons by interfering with FCC controlled airwaves is a FEDERAL offense, and possibly a felony. Doubt it.
Be aware that if you fly at the LN site you need a cel phone to call the police with as well as your planes and sunscreen. Hopefully this will be resolved quickly.
