You are correct. :-)
This would be a good time to introduce Vince Baertsoen, VFX Supe here at
The Mill in NYC. He's the bearded fellow who appears at 1:25 in the video,
and I believe the main architect behind the feather system, along with
David Barosin.
I've been working with Vince since the

I actually met Vince last year at Siggraph. Very mystical man.
Disappeared early from the Softimage dinner and the only trace of him was a
pile of business cards :)

Thank you very much Bradley.
Yes it's a full on ICE feather system.
I started to layer all the main compound from scratch at the beginning of
Hallmark, then Dave Barosin joined a month later and help me out with few very
helpful features and scripts.

Thanks Vince!
Folks should know he's been an XSI and ICE afficionado for a long time now,
just not as visible in the community because he's dealing with numerous
internal issues and mailing lists at The Mill.
Actually, there are quite a few such fellows here at The Mill. It's ironic,
I think.
hahaha... yes... i wish i had some time on this evening to stick around and
joined you guys...i had way too many meetings.
Anyway this year, i 'll arrange my schedule ahead and make sure i'll be there.

Applied to the thumbs or other sensitive body extensions they can be very
effective.

I had nothing to do with their lovely Hallmark spot, though I will accept
credit for finally getting Vince subscribed on this list.
My job is to make cynical remarks and then fabricate and send silly

They say this will be effective from February 2013.
I haven't heard of the general price increase but wouldn't be surprised - I
guess it's more the question of when than if. And
