I don't know your exact use case of OpenBSD on this Sun machine type.
As mentioned, our case is for a server "Services" platform.
OpenBSD 7.3 boots normally on our Sparc machines:
SC Alert: Host System has Reset
SC Override: Force Diagnostics
Executing Power On Self Test

I'm running OBSD7.1 on a Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 270MHz)
running on (max) 32 gig CF cards, and I'm wondering if you, or anyone

The problem could be solved.
For booting "{1} ok boot disk0 sr0a/bsd" is used in the OpenBootPROM.
And in the fully loaded OpenBSD system, the following eeprom parameters
configure this permanently in the OBP:
sun23 # eeprom boot-device=disk0
sun23 # eeprom boot-file=sr0a/bsd
