I don't know your exact use case of OpenBSD on this Sun machine type.

As mentioned, our case is for a server "Services" platform.

OpenBSD 7.3 boots normally on our Sparc machines:

Howdy Daniel?  

I'm running OBSD7.1 on a Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 270MHz) 
running on (max) 32 gig CF cards, and I'm wondering if you, or anyone
else out there is running 7.3 on a similar machine.  Just wondering if
it's possible/reasonable or mebbe should think of freezing on 7.1?
