BTW, is the new driver version 1.3 is a new version of modem_run or of the user-space
drivers ? As my packages use the driver present in the kernel, is it necessary that I
upgrade them with this new version or not ?

actually, I've been running the script "startadsl.sh" manually
did not succeed start the service

I've just notice a bug in my adsl init script. In fact this script do
nothing because of a test at the begining of the file
[ -f /usr/lib/speedtouch/firmware.bin ] || exit 0
you should replace it by
[ -f /usr/share/speedtouch/firmware.bin ] || exit 0
It came from my old conf
Can you please post the output of dmesg and the result of doing
cat /proc/net/atm/speed*
