[speedtouch] Re: USBDEVFS_BULK error message
I'm using the kernel driver found in the speedbundle-1.0 package. -amyy >From: Duncan Sands <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], "amy yunani" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: [speedtouch] Re: USBDEVFS_BULK error message >Date: Mon, 24 May 2004 08:45:08 +0200 > > > > Whenever I modprobe usb-uhci and plug-in my SpeedTouch 330 (Rev 4.0), I >get > > the following eror message: > > > > usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout > > usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x85 len 512 ret -110 > > usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout > > usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x5 len 883 ret -110 > > > > And I cannot make a connection with pppd... any suggestions? > >User mode driver or kernel module? > >Ciao, > >Duncan. > >Liste de diffusion modem ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB >Pour se désinscrire : >mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > _ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail Liste de diffusion modem ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB Pour se désinscrire : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Since I am the admin and one the moderator and since my email is BANNED from the mailing list, moderations no longer occurs. That's why I found no other solution than posting using a different email. Concerning your problem, I read your mail too late. All your messages have been properly sent. However, you did not receive them for some obscure reason (I got mailer-daemon that i have deleted few minutes ago). Benoit PAPILLAULT All messages sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] are deleted. [speedtouch] Re: Fedora Core 2 Test 3 Issues (2.6.5 kernel)
Hi all, William M. Quarles wrote: >Aad Rijnberg wrote: >[snip] > > >> >> >Then try to make. If you get an error on the make, do a make clean, >re-./configure. In order to have this, you need to compile linux-atm and pppd present in the speedbundle package. But, you are right, It won't compile with the default FC2 install. It will complain about a function called billi_in_use or something like that. It's because the include files of the kernel present in /usr/include/linux are too old (They should come from the kernel installed when the fedora folks compiled all the system, which is the behavior that linus torvalds advices). To work this around, you should (re)move all atm*.h file in /usr/include/linux and replace them with those present in the 2.6.5 kernel sources. After that, all works for me except that modem_run failed at the end of its initialization because of the bug in the kernel. With the kernel patches given by duncan, I think it should allow us to use the kernel driver with FC2.
