I have been working a bit on it, and it is pretty much working, with minor changes from what's here: http://bitbucket.org/gminick/sphinx-rst2pdf- builder/overview/ What's the suggested course of action? Does it have a chance of getting into sphinx proper? (if it works well, of course ;-)

It seems that the numbers for autonumbered footnotes [#] is reset for each file. So, if I have [#] in two files, they will both be [1]. Is that intentional? I would expect that for writers that generate a single file (like LaTex and rst2pdf) a global footnote counter is a better idea? Best
