Terry is correct. I am thinking about replacing the bearing in this pump and using it on my '68 Spit along with the same housing. I wouldn't DREAM of not fixing it first. The bearing in there is really bad and it helps that my neighbor owns a machine shop and has offered to help with the car

I think he was asking if the assembly (mid 70's model water neck/thermostat housing, main body and late model type of pulley) would work on his round-tail car. I don't think he's planning on putting a used water pump with a worn bearing on the car. He might be able to get the "pump" portion fixed
