I think when you join Linked In, it asks you if you'd like to invite

I listened for it several times last night. All I heard here in Illinois was
some signal sweeping that frequency range, down to up, a couple times a
second.

Good question. My dad was evidently in the OSS. During WWII he was honorably
discharged from the US Army (in the middle of the war) and then enlisted
in SOMETHING where he was with the RAF. He never said what he

Thanks Ary. I haven't heard it in several years. It was a great beacon
for telling if 40 meters was open to that part of the world.

I tossed it out on a ham DX forum. So far no responses.

Hi Kurt,
No, I never joined the Feldhell club. I thought about it now and then.
I have yet to join the QCWA and OOTC either, both of which I qualify
for.

Hams keep coming up with new digi modes. We had Clover, then PSK31,
then PSK16, MFSK16, Feld-Hell, then Olivia, ...
Not to mention JASON, WOLF, WSPR on the lower frequencies ...
I have no doubt people will

Hmm ... I don't know. I'll see if I can hear it and try to determine
what it is and possibly decode it.

No, it is not Hellschreiber. I have used that for hundreds of contacts
on amateur radio and I know exactly how it sounds.

I believe it's slow scan TV being transmitted by a radio amateur. Or
it could be one of the new digi modes. But it's most likely a radio
amateur transmitting it. That IS in the 75 meter ham band.

Yeah, that is likely.
I have a ham friend who is active on DRM on shortwave. I'll ask him
what common frequencies on 75m are being used.

I downloaded it the day it was announced and mine opens fine. Either it's
getting corrupted in download or something happened to the stored file since
then.
