[Spooks] RE: Kracker Radio Is Over Out (for real?)
Visit http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks to unsubscribe from this list Yes, I think it's safe to say that Kracker Radio and WBNY are no more. The person that ran them finally came to the conclusion, rightly so, some might say, that pirating was beyond his limited skills. It's a shame; he tried very hard, but a man's got to know his limitations. -- Message: 4 Date: Thu, 21 Feb 2008 15:52:58 -0500 From: Martin G Choquette Subject: [Spooks] Kracker Radio Is Over Out (for real?) Visit http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks to unsubscribe from this list No kidding. Anyone with a fairly modern ham transceiver could do this. I've never done it and never will (pirate broadcast), but I did open up the whole HF frequency range on my TS-850S so I could transmit on 60 meters. 73, Zack On Fri, 22 Feb 2008, KD7JYK DM09 wrote: Visit http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks to unsubscribe from this list that pirating was beyond his limited skills. [Spooks] Re: Over Out (for real?)
Visit http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks to unsubscribe from this list I opened up one of my rigs to use as an I.F. for microwave, it transmits 160 KHz to 200 MHz, AM, FM, CW and SSB. Using the data port on the rear would by-pass the audio input filters and drive the modulator directly for some good Hi-Fi operation., however, like you, I enjoy my various licenses far too much to mess around. I studied television and radio production in college, aside from the expense and amount of the equipment used, there isn't much difference between what is done in a major studio and what a fourth grader can do at home on a junk computer or some old tape decks.
