Hi,
Have you also noticed “Polish Pip” sounds on other frequencies around 160 m ?
I usually have them from 1680 up to 1820 and another one around 2100
Some screenshots from my sdr-iq:

Hi Lars,
The Polish Pip is a RS10/BRAS-3 hyperbolic navigational station. It is
part of one of the chains in the Baltic area, most likely the Kaliningrad
chain. In the past there were much more chains, but the

Hi Pavel,
It looks like the station is off the air. I have checked it with several people
who have heard the station almost daily during the past 2 years. They too did
not hear it in the past 10 days.

Hi Ary,
I can hear it today! Now (16:50z) it's running, a really strange pulsing with
a harmonics-rich wave! It looks like there are subchannels spaced by 820 Hz.
I mean, when for example on USB, I tune 820 Hz

I have a faint signal here, Pavel, but it's clearly the PP. I will try it later
tonight again.

Hi Ary,
I've made a recording. It's a video, to demonstrate tuning in 820 Hz steps,
which I've mentioned formerly. It's in a format which my mobile generates
(.3gp), it's about 120MB long (sorry, I don't have

Hi Pavel,
It's about the same strength as I have here in Holland. The signal is 8kHz
wide. The loudest signal here is on 1810 kHz. I still have no idea what it
is. The sound makes me think that it is some kind of

That is a surprisingly pleasant signal!
Good recording.
Thanks!

Hi!
Yes, it sounds nice from the recording, but I've never heard it from my
radio. Since first post in this thread, I'm monitoring the freq regularly
and all I get is hamish CW and once a long series of dots - I

Thanks for info.
Right now there is not QRM, only static. I don't remember anything similar to
that from recording.
Even at night I don't get it.

Hi Pavel,
I just checked the frequency and did not hear it either tonight. Usually it's
there when I check that freq. The IARU Intruder watch reports it also as 24/7.
If it is on the air I can only hear it during

Hello.
I decided to look more around this station. First question is: How it sounds?
On 1812 kHz I hear 4 beeps and 2 beeps with shifted pitch.
That sound I hear everywhere on HF, one time it even jammed S30,
