1.NFPA 1142 indicates the minimum storage tank capacity for rural area fire
sprinkler system. If based on calculations in 1142 we come up with minimum tank
size of say 7,000 gallons, how does that reconcile with NFPA 13 if we need say
500 GPM x 30 min = 15,000 gallons. Or does th
NFPA 1142 deals with firefighting as it relates to Fire Flow which is a Fire
Code requirement. The water supply for firefighting is separate from the
water supply required for the sprinkler systems.
