I would prefer everyone switch to Storz connections. This eliminates all the questions about what kind of FDC to provide, or finish. How many times has the Engineer/Architect ask for a Siamese connection, but want a flush. And Storz also come with Locking knox caps if needed. -Original

What is the opinion of the group, when you have 1" wide metal slats, 4" deep, & 6" on center. Sprinklers are installed above slats, in a ACT ceiling, 14" above the top of the slats. Are these an obstruction? According to NFPA 13 2019 (9.3.10) open grid ceiling, you need 18" minimum at a 10'x10'
