Good afternoon all, Here's a question for you... Revolving doors - like
the ones you'd encounter at a hospital, for conversation sake lets say
its approximately 10 to 12 feet in diameter. It's pretty impossible to
put a sprinkler in there, but is there a specific code reference that
omits
i would invoke thinking similar to the interpretation ~if the floor space in
a stair is the egress path only, sprinklers should not be required~

CSBC (Common Sense Building Code), Section 903.666.1 state that if you
have a fixture or appliance that is constantly sweeping the floor, thus
making it impossible to maintain a fire load or any sources of ignition
in the vestibule, which itself is defined as two or three or four
CONSTANTLY MOVING

I'm glad you brought that up, CSBC Annex Z. I may need to reference that to the
AHJ who has demanded that we submit Hydraulic Calculations for our fire
pump And when we asked what hydraulic calculations he would like for
us to submit, his response was you're supposed to know
