Oh and as far as determining the size of the ventilation opening. After you
have found your CFM you should be able to use the equation
Q= 2610 x A x squareroot (delta P)
Or I guess, rearranged for the area you are looking for is
A= (Q/(2610 x squareroot(delta P)))
The variables are:
Q= to
I've consulted with Tigerflow in the past on projects requiring standalone
fire pump enclosures. They ship worldwide and I'm sure they would accept a
phone call to discuss this if you do not have access to a mechanical
engineer (HVAC type) who does this routinely.
As others have noted the engine

Here is an easy one for Friday. Is there a general requirement that all valves
in a pump room be supervised? I am wondering about the valves in a flow meter
loop that are normally closed.

There are valves that are wired for normally closed but you can switch the
wires on a regular valve around but it won't go into supervisory in the number
of turns required per code.
On my jobs, all with the same AHJ, we always either swap the wires and lock
them open, or just lock them only.

The phrasing is to the effect supply water to systems. If it's normally
closed it can't be a supply and wouldn't need supervision. Similar to jockey
pump valve, they don't feed the systems during a fire.
For example IFC 903.4 Sprinkler system supervision and alarms.

Roland, as I have said before, I like being right, but I love being
corrected when I am not :). I think you are right and I am wrong regarding
the interpretation of the referenced section.
I think there are problems with the referenced section though (i.e.
configuration instead of system perhaps,
