I concur with Jeff. With the ease of doing calcs in today’s software, it is not uncommon for me to run several just to justify to myself. We are talking a few seconds to a few minutes. Nothing major. Travis Mack, SET MFP Design, LLC 3356 E Vallejo Ct Gilbert, AZ 85298 480-505-9271

To go with this, ours are when the local authority requires the fire sprinkler set to be in the bid documents. They are always approved before we release. I guess I didn't make all of that clear. We have PE on staff, my NICET IV and we carry quite a bit of professional liability to cover all of

YES. AutoSprink all the way. I can bring in REVIT models, run clash detection, get suggested arm arounds, etc. I can export to DWG or RVT (2 step process). Best out there for 3D modeling. Travis Mack, SET MFP Design, LLC 3356 E Vallejo Ct Gilbert, AZ 85298 480-505-9271 fax:

I use it for clash detection. I find that it is on par or better than Navis. Honestly, I can barely move around in Navis. As long as I get other trades files early enough, I typically go into the meetings clash free or nearly clash free. That is because I can run AutoSprink clash detection

I'm going off of memory - which seems to be slipping as I age - but I don't believe NFPA 13R has a hose stream requirement. However, be cautious of that domestic demand. Maybe I get conservative, but if I have a complex with several buildings on a site water line, I add the domestic demand to

We had this issue in AZ with the interstitial sprinklers. They were only rated at 175F. That is a problem in Arizona attics. They have now come out with 200F sprinklers. I questioned one of the manufacturers at one time and they referred me back to the chart in NFPA 13 that says you must
