I received a similar message saying an email sent to me has been bounced! I
have deleted it since. Unless there is a glitch in mailing list software at
SQLite site, this may be a new spamming trick.

I have an old port of Sqlite for Palm OS mentioned at
the wiki page:
http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/wiki?p=SqlitePalm
Other ports to Palm OS are also listed on the same
page.

If you cannot download from the link above then you
will have to join the group to get it.

Please do whenever you get a chance :-)

Check the Java section at

as my dev machines either
keep crashing (for some totally different reasons) or
they get utilized for something else. When will I be
able to complete the port is an eternal question ;-)
Let me know if you need the code.

What OS does your handheld run? Check this wiki:
http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/wiki?p=SqliteUsers
Sqlite has ports for Linux, WinCE and PalmOS as far as
I know. There are different wrappers available which
may help too:

Check out COM Wrappers / Visual Basic DLLs section in
the wiki:

It would be great if you can add the link to your
component in Sqlite wiki. There have been requests
recently posted to this list asking for components
that can be used from VB.

You should really consider the use-cases. SQLite is
meant to be used as an embeded database where as MS
SQL Server 7 is a full fledge RDBMS. Both have their
own place depending upon the requirement and may not
be possible to use interchangeably. I'd say it
depends...
