There's no difference between artists and titles when you select
randomly. If there were statistically significant differences it would
not be a random
- Playlists and favourites more or less to be independent of file
locations and rescanning.
That doesn't make sense: a playlist is a list of pointers to files. If
you change the filename or path, then that pointer is broken, obviously.

Sorry, but both lms where running at that time. Non of them was
rebooting of off-line. It is just strange behavior.

That is true but very very few client only support MP3 (e.g original
SliMP3) - typically old hardware players.

Most devices can play MP3 but if it is not supported you will need
lame.
Lame is also needed when you want to use bit rate limiting for remote
streaming
To be fair, by moving LMS from your XP host to PcP you have introduced a
more significant change to your system than the upgrade of LMS.
My assessment is that this is a network issue. OrangeSqueeze doesn't
talk to your radio, it talks to LMS, if your Radio keeps playing that
implies it's

Is using wireless to connect to the raspberry pi.
If so do you use the default wireless on the pi or a usb dongle.
If wireless, which channels are you using?
Take the radio from the kitchen and connect to the router with cable,

Old setup was LMS7.7.3 on windows XP, new setup is PcP 3.20 with LMS
7.9.1 - 1499900819 on pi 3 connected via LAN.
Since moving to new config the SB radio keeps dropping from LMS control
interface, also OranjeSqueeze seems to loose connection to the SB radio.
SB radio keeps on playing btw.
