I guess you were correct. I didn't ever get any other
BINGO!
Yep that did it. It kind of makes no sense that one track, or in this
case one album, which looks like it was purchased from iTunes, could
cause the artist to be sorted completely ignoring the other albums.
Creating a separate entry for just this album would be understandable.

I recognised that I have permission problems and made a new thread:

I am happy to revive this old thread by asking where the playlists are
stored that I create over the GUI in the way described above. I created
a playlist and it does not show up in the folder I have set as playlists
folder in server settings.

If its an attached USB then it depends how you first set it up. You may
need to chown and chmod recursively to get it to be read / write to the
LMS user.
Ask in the piCorePlayer thread.

I can access the remote library, it shows all the albums, but when I try
to play a file, it doesn't play.
I have tried wit and without
Thanks for the reply. It is a RaspberryPi with an attached HDD and I am
also using samba on the RPi to access this HDD from anywhere.
Ok, I will make it 775. I just wonder if squeezeboxserver needs to be
added as a user as default. Maybe I just forgot that during the
installation. I thought it

I wish I had seen this thread yesterday!
I put configured a mesh environment yesterday and started getting this
message on my Radios. I wrongly assumed it was the Asus mesh causing the
issues so went back to repeater mode which also gave this message. My
wife then gave me an ear bashing for
