Hi all,
further to the above, I've now found that I have to restart LMS about
every 3 days otherwise the track skipping behaviour mentioned above
starts. I do this by adding or removing any Plugin that I'm not using,
forcing a restart. After that, it's fine... for about 3 days.
Anyone else have
Thanks for both these ideas. I have no rules blocking traffic within my
LAN, so that shouldn't be it. I will try the setup option -- once I find
the/a remote that works... :-)

The issue with scripts is that you have to keep on running them. Yes the
ideal is to fix the tags at source, but it's a nver ending task as one
adds to the library.
The LMS scanner would just do it in the database each time.
The taste aspect could be catered for by specifying which would be the

Hi
Is it possible for the media scanner to ignore common variants of Artist
names to avoid duplicates in the Artist list?
(I'm sure this will have been asked before but I couldn't find the
answer.)
For example normalising "The", &, 'and', punctuations and case variants
would prevent these from

D&D worked.
No need to unhide, I can already see them. I discovered why perl can be
selected via the file open dialog, but the versioned variants cannot:

That's a shame. But it's good to know this doesn't exist. So I can stop
looking. And good to know it's on y

Those plugins are already installed. Tidal, Deezer plugins via

Have just fired up my SliMP3 and all seem to work, this is with LMS 8 on
a "Full Fat" Linux so not directly equivalent.
I was wondering if SliMP3 had auto LMS discovery (it does) however in
settings (at first boot) you can specify the LMS server IP Address.
I would try to specify the LMS server

IIRC SLIMP3 protocol is slightly different to other players. Check
whether your router or PC firewall is blocking UDP ports & broadcasting
Well, I hate to do this, but it's been 5 days, so I just want to bump
this back closer to the top. Does nobody have any ideas for me? :-(

Is there a way to connect TIDAL to LMS just like Spotify does? The LMS
No. I haven't found any information yet about what they're using/doing.

(In case "material" is a operating system for my android phone: Changing
the OS seems like overkill and is not for me.)

Approaching from a different direction. Why not use Material on your
Android and install Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz and Chromecast Bridge & Airplay
Bridge plugins on LMS
This will give you control of everything from one place EXCEPT Amazon HD
Music & Google Home.

Hi,
Is there a way to connect TIDAL to LMS just like Spotify does? The LMS
player should show up in the devices list of the TIDAL android app.
To clarify what I would like to do:
my setup:
- me: on my couch, in front of my stereo, holding my android device
- audio source: LMS8 running

Still taking a long time for me:
Thanks for your file! So... you have 10 playlists with 10k+ tracks? One
with close to 30k tracks. Do you really use those? They seem to be
imported from iTunes. Unless you're serious about using them I suggest
you add them to the ignore list in the iTunes plug
Still taking a long time for me:
The please answer my questions about library size, number of playlists,
number of tracks in those playlists, and share library.db and full

Michael suggested granting perl5.18 access, but this doesn't appear to
be possible in the Full Disk Access prefs dialog.
You should be able to drag'n'drop it from finder. You might need to
un-hide system folders (Cmd + Shift + . (dot))
