There are other programs that can do this, like Soundiiz, but it's a
multi-step process and it would be great if the Qobuz/Spotify APIs
allowed this kind of playlist export/copying directly from LMS back to
the service itself.
Sounds like a great idea for plugin?
Thank you, Michael - the MusicIP mixer itself seems to work flawlessly.
From within LMS or outside? The error you posted, was that from
server.log or scanner.log?
Oh, you asked about how to enable logging? Go to Settings/Advanced/Logging.

Is there a way to avoid this?
Use tmp://path/to/file.mp3 rather than file://path/to/file.mp3
If using the Default web UI you can also use the Drag'n'Drop plugin and
just drop the file on the right hand side panel.

There were a few things that needed to be changed to get the iTunes
plugin working. There may be easier/better ways to accomplish this, but
this worked for me.

I've installed LMS in Docker on a Synology RS1221+. I've checked the
"Use iTunes" box in the LMS Settings on the iTunes page, but when I
attempt to set the "iTunes Music Library.xml Location" and "Tunes Media
Folder" media folders I receive the following error messages. The paths

This is the result of "http://localhost:10002/api/version":
"MusicIP Mixer. Version 1.8"
Why doesn't LMS import the headers then? No firewall, etc. activated. I
all worked before. I just thought that it would be a good

I had a similar situation when I was working. I would VPN to the office
and the work VPN "closed the pipe" and I couldn't see anything other
than what was accessible on the work network. This kind of pissed me
off. I ended up using VMWare and put up another instance of my OS under

Hi,
When I use the "Tune In URL" to play a media file located on the
computer running LMS (but outside the Media Folders), the file is added
to the library. I discovered this when such a file was played as part of
a Random Mix playlist some days after I played it using Tune In.
Is there a way
On my LMS server I only use WAV files with m3u playlists. I use a
directory structure of "GENRE/ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACKNUM TITLE" which is used
to guess the tags. In each album directory I have a cover art file
"cover.jpg".
I set up a new Xubuntu 20.02 system and installed LMS 8.1.1. On another

I haven't looked at how I might get nightlies onto it.
Would it be the same as the 'official' Docker tagged Dev?
Not sure. As I understand it there are images which allow you to update
the LMS inside the container. The official image is more along the lines
that the image is the installation,
tracks. The path to each
duplicated track is exactly the same.[image:

I'm running on a Synology NAS, and it's not 'your' Docker, because I

e squeezebox radio.
It is though if you select file after clicking the cog. To use library
views on the Radio you need to add it in Additional Browse Modes. To use
them in Material skin click on the circled icon in the My Music
screen.[image:

Yes and no, saving is possible, but for example it is not possible to
select file format or file path like in

Hi Michael,
Thank you to everyone who replied. I have managed to get LMS
re-installed correctly.
It wasn't a straight-forward re-install, but eventually, it installed
without any complaint and is now functioning correctly.
i have the need to save a library view
- in Material Skin, i have the "save button", but not the same selection
possibilities "eg. file format"
- in Classic Skin, i have the selection possibility, but nowhere a save
button for library view
Uhhh
Help please. :-)

I searched for "musicip" in the console log and found this entry:
"21-03-06 21: 03: 14.1497] Slim :: Plugin :: MusicMagic :: Plugin ::
initPlugin (155) Can't connect to port 10002 - MusicIP disabled. "
All that test does is call http://localhost:10002/api/version. Is that

Thank you,
I was very short on time and have therefore quickly restored a previous
image copy of piCorePlayer.
*Living Room:* piCorePlayer 7.0.1 on rPi 3B+ & Allo DigiOne & 1TB USB
(LMS 8.0.1 & Squeezelite), Mutec MC-3+ Smart Clock, RME ADI-2 DAC,
Unison Research Sinfonia, Klipsch Forte III.
Yes, MusicIP was available from the start (I triple checked this) and I
restarted LMS several times - nada, not working.
The individual steps when scanning the music database are numbered,
right?
I mean MusicIP import would be Step 3 or 4 and with my installation the
scan process jumps
