With DS918+ why wouldn't you run LMS in docker?
3x Squeezebox Touch, 4x Squeezebox Radio, Squeezelite (RPi 3B with
HiFiBerry DAC+Pro on OSMC), Material Skin Apk, Squeeze Commander,
Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 with Material Skin (Docker in
DS218+)
I was in the same situation and went the Raspberry Pi/piCoreplayer
route. Very happy with this set-up (and grateful to the support on these
forums). Easy enough to link to music stored on the Synology NAS
scooper's
_msg => "Can't connect to localhost:10002 (Connection refused)",
Something's blocking access to port 10002. I don't get it.
Are there any issues using online resources using the LMS8 installation?

oh didn't knew this about MusicIP. Good catch then. As i have the
musicip server running, i've just checked and search for one of those
culprits there. "Not found".
No .m3u files in the music path.
It's in LMS still listed
in DSM the packages Web Station and WebDAV are using this extension,
perhaps installing those packages might help. Or and other possibility
could be to install PHP 7.0,7,1,7,3,7,4 (everything whats offered).

However, I got the following error at LMS start-up:
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library
I don't think the package uses PHP at all. This might be a red herring.
Or there's something bigger wrong with your system, which makes LMS fail
as well as PHP.

Tried already and got the same error. There is no "json.so" under
/usr/lib/php/modules/

Nope. There is no such entry in /etc/php/php.ini
...
extension = bcmath.so
extension = bz2.so
extension = curl.so
extension = iconv.so
extension = ldap.so
extension = mcrypt.so
perhaps you have:

remove the entry and try again

My DS918+ is running DSM 6.2.4 with PHP 7.0. A week ago the LMS server
stopped and could not be restarted. I tried to reinstall it but found
the LMS package is no longer available from Synology after uninstall.
:mad:
I know LMS is not supported by Synology now and so go for this one from

Cool - thanks. I'll definitely take a look at that!

i'm not the playlist kinda guy. My playlist folder is empty. I have

If you import from MusicIP, then this could be the culprit. MIP keeps
its own list of music. You'd have to have it remove those track from its
index,

suprisingly i discovered yesterday, that after i made a "delete db,

in LMS. I can search for physical deleted albums and they got listed, i
can then "play" the tracks, which of course fail.
Huuh? Using LMS 8.2
Are you sure
I would like to continue using MusicIP. Smart Mix was 100x better, but
Funny you'd say so. SmartMix certainly gave more control over the mixes,
but I personally though MIP was producing great results. As the author
of SmartMix I would have preferred to continue to use MIP (ignoring the
