34051
Is this part necessary?
Any help "'Add a network share (Synology NAS)'

With the latest perl update making LMS on my NAS non-existent, I
purchased a raspberry pi 4. I manage to get the piCorePlayer set up.
Can even listen to the available radio stations on my Touch. I just can
not seem to figure out how to get the Pi to see my library on my NAS.
I can not get
Assuming you are on pCP7, You can upgrade to the version of your choice
on the LMS page.
The latest full release is 8.1.1.
8.1.2 is stable.
8.2.0 is the current development release, it is up to Michael when it
becomes stable.

That image was a very early test image, and does not have the most up to
date drivers. It should have never been available for public use. Ill
send a note to ask Allo to remove it.

You would think that Allo would provide a working OS after pCp supplies
it with an OS.
I installed pCp 7 from official website and it works like a charm .

Can someone point me to where info on the current LMS versions used by
piCorePlayer can be seen?
Specifically wondering when version 8.2.* will be the "release" version.

I am not at all technologically savvy, so please excuse my ignorance,
but I do love my LMS.
Over the past week due to all the wonderful threads on this forum, I
have been able to install LMS through Docker. But the only way I can
get it to map my music folder, is by granting "Read Only"

a good way would be to set a symbolic link to the /etc files in a
location which is seen by synology eg /volume1/docker.
then you have to still create the docker in command line, but after this
you can admin via GUI and didn't loose the timezone mappings if you
recreate the docker container

192.168.x.y and 10.x.y.z addresses are especially interesting to someone

So you don't really have to obscure them here. No problem doing so but
it makes it a bit harder trying to guess what might have happened.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the swift reply!
Short answer: that's how it ended up after installation.
Long answer: (installation process):
After some online search couldn't quite find Arch/Manjaro specific
install instructions, so went ahead and installed this package:
Well, I'm lucky; and you, SIR, win the coconut :)

That should keep the bugger in That There London happy, and I have
learnt a litle bit more

Although I'm really grateful, it's still a pity that this route is
necessary though :(
OK - so

Well I have made some progress
I have plugged a usb stick into the pcp, and installed samba (it only
took about ten attempts  to successfully complete the
installation)
Connected to the pcp from my iMac and transferred an album to the usb
stick
Scanned the stick and played back the

Yeh, so people there have the same issue, unresolved yet, sadly. So this
thread is unneccessary. Thank you anyway.

On my LMS 8.1.1, the Youtube plugin (0.127.1) suddenly stopped working,
it is unable to play any streams after searching them.
I tried re-authenticating, but it didn't help. So I checked the LMS log
and saw this:
Code:
[21-04-02 14:13:09.0849] main::init (388)

MEPG-4 has lots of possible variation for
My structure is
Media
Then
Music/FLAC/artist/album
Music/mp3/artist/album
Music/mp4/artist/album
Music/videos/artist/album
Films/filmname
In LMS I point it at the first 3 but not 4 or 5
On a Plex server
I point it at 4 and 5 but IF I wanted Plex to also serve music Id point
at just Media in
network or localhost: xxx.yyy.zzz.ab -> rrr.sss.ttt.cd (settings/index.html)
Why would you be accessing the settings from a different network?

Hi all,
I know, old thread, but
I am using slimserver v8.1.1, ARCH-AUR-GIT.8.1.1 on manjaro and just
can't get it to work properly. I can access it on my local machine with
my local IP address eg xxx.yyy.zzz.ab, but can access the settings only
by using the IP address as can be found in the
Maybe LMS would be able to play them - the audio part - with the right
transcoder in place on the LMS server.
If one of those files is readily available on the Internet perhaps you
could post a link for others to try.
