No, I mean you're right that HTTP 1.1 is available now in LMS but 1.1
just means that the underlying TCP socket will not be

It is with local files from SSD also, as stated in opening post. My
question is, are players in sync? (I count about 10 players from TO's
signature.) Almost every time I was

Thank you both, that's useful to know. Airplay is definitely a good
option for me then.

I wouldnt take Raid 1 disks out of an Intel based NAS and stick them

the new NAS will want to repartition the Disks.

Yes, the existing NAS has 2 x 3TB HDDs in a RAID 1 configuration.

Since apparently this runs some Debian based system:
sudo apt-get remove [package name]
This will remove the package but keep all the settings
Given that on the NAS users forum this action was recommended for

Yes, of course, if I can keep all my LMS configurations, settings,
plugins and their respective data too - that would be fantastic. The
ideal situation is for me to take the HDDs from my existing NAS, slot
them into the 'new' NAS, install LMS and for
Thank you so much mamema! This was exactly what I needed and now it

I don't understand how unistalling lms on old NAS will unsure you do
that lose your settings and plugin stats? Seems weird.. Surely if you
uninstall it on old NAS without backing up first you will loose
everything..
What Am I missing here? Hmm
I would think you need to backup your LMS config

After seeing your screen snip I also would have expected the Material
repo to be displayed since it is displayed in your list from your screen
snip. Now I've decided some unknown demons
Hi,
I am about to migrate from one NAS where my LMS is installed, to
another.
They have different architectures. The old one is Intel x86, the newer
one is ARM.
I have posted about this migration 'in the ReadyNAS support forums'

I had added the material repository quite some time ago and then when I
read that it had been added to the standard 3rd party I thought I'd
remove it. When I couldn't find a place to remove it in the LMS UI I
asked the question in

I have now replaced ../ in the playlists with file:///music/ and they
seem to work.

Thinking about this some more, it seems to me that relative paths cannot
work in the Docker container. Docker uses two completely different paths
for /music and /playlists that do not share a common root. As a
consequence a relative path in /playlists points to nowhere.
I think I will simply

Using a text editor use find and replace on one of your playlists to
match what LMS expects, and rescan.

Not 100% sure if LMS expects the path to be relative to the playlist
location or the music folder but in either case ...
bpa wrote:

You may be onto something here. I changed from Pinkdot's LMS on Synology
to Docker (to be future proof). It may well be that LMS running as a
docker container impacts the functioning of relative playlists.
I have
ssh into your raspi and issue a cat /etc/passwd
this list a file where users are in. pick the PUID (4 digit) and the
PGID (3 digit) of a user which has access to the music share
enter those values into the docker config environment vars "PGID=xxx"
and "PUID="".
Then the dockrer container

Looking at the M3U code - it seems to handles relative path for files in
playlist but your relative path may be incorrect in terms of
Relative playlists should work provided the path is correct.
You could try enabling more in Settings/Advanced/Logging

Thanks for your pointers. I am indeed using relative paths in my
playlists. I am very sure this used to work (as our regular Sunday
breakfast music is one of the playlists. I haven't used it for a while
as I am now mainly using Roon).
The folder structure of my music folder (on the NAS) looks

The playlist is using a relative path
Which folder is the playlist in and where is the music in relation to

I have attached one of the m3u playlists (renamed to *.txt). Can anyone
