Hi
Thought I'd share this.
I run LMS on a Pcengines APU with 4G RAM.
OverlayRoot is active.
OS is on a standard SSD,
Music is on a separate (writeable) ZFS volume.
Problem
I constantly run out of memory since the newer releases.
So I had to add SWAP. And I wanted it on the ZFS storage, but
Maybe this helps you go on?
Using Ubuntu
BTW i upgraded from 7.9.4 to 8.0.0 by modifying "version=8.0.0" and that
seemed to work well.
And maybe use this separately, not expanding the LMS init.d script,
because that init.d script may be overwritten.

Thanks for your hint.
It appears that the compendium around the plugin "Multi Library" is
exactly what I was looking for.
It allows to automatically restrict access based on Player name.
However even though I managed to install it in the desired way (using
the child-room howto in the wiki), it
Hi!
I was copying the script to my own server and installed it via
repo/xml.
That way I was having troubles with your install.xml file. LMS kept
restarting.
I found install.xml to be the problem in my case. Missing fields I
guess.
This config is worky, also with empty fields (and no force
HI all
My case is: I have -released- songs in one LibraryView and -unreleased-
songs in another.
I dont want certain players to be able to use the "unreleased" library.
The only way I know to do that is to run a second instance of LMS.
Probably a headache I guess.
Is there another way?
I do

I think LMS does just send back a confirmation of some sort, but not its
IP?
