The problem seems to have gone away, and I'm not sure which of the many
changes I made that facilitated that. Thank you all for your help.

There are several instances of warnings during the period. The warnings
note that the Perl Interpreter failed, with no other information. The
warnings coincide with the times of the server log warnings about
queries returning more than one row. As I don't understand the source
of the problem,
Anything suspicious in the Windows event log around the time when LMS
has stopped?

This tolds us: lms is running and dns isnt.
Since your log doesnt provide any information about stopped/started it
might be your os isnt online anymore and you might thinks its lms thats
not working anymore.
LMS stops abruptly sometimes after only a few minutes of play. I'm
running LMS on a separate computer using W7Pro OS. The only connections
to this computer are power and wired LAN, so I communicate with it using
MS Remote Desktop. I have to go to my normal desktop, and using MS
Remote Desktop
