Thanks for the rapid response!  I am in Hawaii so the time difference
will delay my responses.

I don't understand what happened to the DNS.  I am running a static IP
address (192.168.1.5), and set static DNS as the local DNS servers
specified by my ISP (it has been like this for years now).  As the same
system runs the program for my SIP phones (3CX), I know the OS was
running and online.

I was running 7.7.5 for all of the log provided on the original post,
but as an experiment I uploaded 7.9.0 on 24.11.2016 and LMS still
stopped by itself.  As a further experiment, I changed the DNS settings
to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I don't know why the log doesn't show the start/stop, but anyway here is
the latest log, showing the change to 7.9.0 and the fact that the
warnings still occur.  21558  Note that I changed some
settings, deleting some plugins (including Pandora) and then put them
back in again to see if that would make any difference.  It's too soon
to tell at this point.
