I tried using Event Viewer to look at a 2-minute time
Among the powerful Windows Sysinternals tools there are two that can
help you find the culprit.
The first is 'Process Explorer'
(https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer), a
very detailed task manager from which the Windows Task Manager learned a
lot in recent versions,
As a last resort, you could use MS Process Monitor (
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx ) to find
which processes are accessing which files.

I've done nothing to access these files at all.
I use MediaMonkey Gold 4.1.14.1813 for music file management and have
not (knowingly)

Can't think of an LMS related process that would do this unbidden
