Synology do not include LAME in their LMS package citing licensing
issues. However, as part of pinkdots re-compile and clean up he
includes LAME.
Check if theres a newer build from pinkdot as it will likely be
included. If not then ask in his Synology thread and Im pretty sure
hell compile

The WD Nas I have used for years was slowly but surely going down the
tubes. I replaced it with a Zyxel 326 NAS that installed the Logitech
Media Server with the greatest ease and now hey presto! Everything is
well again.
I will probably go shopping for more Squeezebox gear soon.

Is this new driver for the rtl8188fu chipset that I couldn't get
working before. If so I will have a try on my older Pi as its not in a
finished box and is in daily use.
Next question do any pCP versions have this driver in and would be
suitable for early Pi 1, I think.

When I release the 6.0.0-b8 it will be built in, and should be fine for
any pi device.
It's will still be classified as a beta, mainly due to the PI4
activities.
