Yesterday I upgraded my LMS from version 8.0.0 to 8.2.0, not noticing
anything wrong. This morning the alarm on Radio did the tsjiboom thing
and as I investigated I found that Radio refused to play the active
media which happened to be a radio station (I did find out later that it
still does
What radio stream are you using? And are you saying you disabled
transcoding? Then I'd recommend you re-enable it.

Did Logitech transfer the admin rights of the MySB website to you?
Just curious how you can post updates there.
I'm still a full time Logitech employee. I've been maintaining MySB for
the past decade or so :-D.

Thanks for the clarification about builds. I wasn't aware that
mysqueezebox.com was still the source to find the latest installer. I
thought it was deprecated. Good to know! Happy everything works again. I
really appreciate all your work.

I've been waiting the usual see-what-it-throws-up gap before updating to
Ventura. I can't quite work out from the foregoing posts what I would
have to do to have LMS run on Ventura. Can anyone give a (sorry!) simple
answer for a non-techy Mac user?

Michael, thanks, that's helpful: I'll give that scheme a whirl when I do
eventually move to Ventura. I tend to wait for .1 (not

Hi!
I never had problems with the media library. Normally I just copy a new
album to my music folder on the disk and then rescan the library ("Look
for new and changed media files"). Voila! the new album appears under
"My music" or "New Music".
Today something weird happened: I copied a new

That clarifies it all :). Well, happy that
I can confirm that the codesign workaround works in Monterey as well. I
did need to restart my Mac for LMS to reconnect to my Booms. Can also
confirm that granting explicit Full Disk Access to bash and perl is no
longer necessary and I removed those permissions in the Privacy
Settings.
Why not using 8.3.0? There has been a lot of work to improve audio
format management consistency

Github doesn't want to accept my new file. It's been hanging for... half
an hour? Or rather more.

Same problem. No playback on radio streams. It was introduced between
the two indicated commits and as apparently I'm the first one to
discover the bug it was never solved.

I have LMS installed on Windows 10 purely for testing purposes. I had 4
media folders with only 1 selected for scanning. When I perform a scan
the 2 local folders are scanned even though 1 of them is not selected.
When I deleted 1 of the folders from media folders it is still being
scanned.

I tried two streams. They are both AAC I think. Either way that should
not be the issue as they are processed quite fine by LMS up to 8.1.0
Obviously I have my reasons for disabling transcoding. Re-enabling it is
not an option.

I did many of these commits because the mp4/aac management was a soup
that was sometimes working by
Okay. I guess at least it helps that I was able to pinpoint the problem
to a fairly limited set of commits even though from my perspective I
really need to restrict myself to the ones that are tagged as release.
I've not done any deep investigation towards the actual cause but if I
were to guess

Thanks for your answer/help, Michael.
I stopped, updated, restarted LMS and rescanned my music library and -
lo and behold - everything works without any errors in the log file.
Even the album is suddenly there.

Unfortunately that scanner.log and the screenshot are from an online
library scan only. In that case the scanner doesn't even look at your
local files.
As for the numbers in the first screenshot: they don't match anything in
the other screenshot. What's below those file type folders?
Please
I have attached.
Also a summary of my library stats. a screenshot from my Foobar that
shows the number of albums in OPUS.
