I may have found a potential bug in LMS or the Web UI, and I wanted to
post my thoughts and see if I am on to something (or just a user
error).
I haven't posted alot, but I am not new to squeezebox land, I have been
enjoying my devices and reading the great info in this forum for years.
I think part of your problem is that you are playing application which
are using pulseaudio but trying to record them using alsa.
If the application you want to record is playing to an alsa output
device then waveinput should use the alsa device "pulse" and arecord in
the conf file

I had the LMS set to "automatically run at system start". My idea was
that the LMS would be available for any user who logged on the PC.

That is what I was going to ask. Since the Replay Gain via PCM
conversion was working fine with local files, and not really relevant to
remote streams anyway, is there a way

BTW, the LMS "Volume Adjustment for Remote Streams" setting works on my

that looks like - the libraryfiles have other permissions than the user
that restarts the Server.
again 7.75 was up2date long time before Redmont do the 8.0

Anyone care to enlighten me on what I could be doing wrong or have
failed to pick up when reading the thread?
Enable debug logging for plugin.itunes, re-run a full scan, then upload
your scanner.log file to this thread.
