btw: Isnt "find new files" always a full rescan?
There are 3 differ
What might have triggered the full scan in the first place?
Check Settings/Information where you'll see what part of the scan took
how much time. This might help you to understand what was taking that
much time.

My system is set up to do a routine check for new files scan every night
(it's a dedicated 24/7 server), but occasionally I will have need for a
forced scan. Like yesterday, I was setting up new playlists and needed
LMS to see the new ones.
When I forced the "find new files" scan the system appe
i never had a problem in associating an image with an album; I always
save a cover.jpg file in the folder that contains the album. Does anyone
know how i can save images that will appear associated with a Genre or
with an Artist so it may appear in the search by artist or by genre
screen?
