The 'notindexed' parameter only was introduced in September 2018 - half a year after your LMS was built... Did you downgrade your LMS without wiping the database? Well, being I am not sure how to wipe the database , the answer would be a hard yes. Which files do I need to delete prior to a downgrade or upgrade? Did you ever run a 7.9.2, a newer version than the 7.9.1 you seem to be running now? -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on pCP sound card setup problems
Not all usb hubs are suitable for a raspberry pi. You want one that does not backload the pi with power. I don't think e-bay is a good source for pi unless it is a certified reseller. Maybe Pi-Hut or Pimoroni in the UK (Sheffield, I think). RS Components and Farnell as well. Any pi you buy, get the official raspberry power supply for it. The 3b+ is good but the new 4b is a better choice, although there are a few issues (mostly regarding the heat from the new SCO). The pi people are working to resolve/ameliorate them as quickly as possible. There is no seperate web gui for Jivelite, it is a controller and one configures it from its own display. There are many options for controlling the LMS and players. Software, smart 'phone apps, web browsers. ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110812 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Yes picoreplayer does appear in jivelite and plays. I am definately having trouble with my usb hub loosing the network connection if overloaded. May be time to get a rPi 3+ as I do like the Pi. Is it much faster? Ebay have them for £27.49. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Server Machine Alternatives.
I have installed around 10 or 12 powerline ethernet units all are better than the wifi at there locations They sometimes lose their connections with each other but a power cycle of the units has up to now always been enough to reconnect. A reliable connection with these devices will depend on noise on the powerline, here in the UK we are relativly lucky in this sense. I don't know why, because the old rpi is nearly the same as the new > rpi: > old rpi: rpi 3 model B > new rpi: rpi 3 model B+ I'm a little confused about what you are doing (i.e. no details on test) and then editing old post does not help. 1. From original description, your problem look to be network related and/or hardware related - this is different to OP issue and a bit of a thread hijack. If problem is not Pi hardware then source of problem can include cables, connected network devices (e.g. Powerline) and possibly but unlikely PSU. 2. You have not given any details on your network setup - wired/wireless etc. Also check network interface statistics to see if any errors, timeouts , link resets appearing on "bad" system more than "good". 3. Difference between a Pi3 B and Pi3 B+ is 15% CPU and big change in network interface - so dismissing the two cards as similar is not right as problem looks network related. 4. You have swapped SD card - this may not be the best way as "history" may be on the card going from one system to another. Not sure if Raspbian save some config/tuning info. 5. To do like for like comparison swapping SD card is not enough you need to swap cables and PSU and stay in same location to make sure there is no other variable. 6. No comparison tests done playing local music to see if problem have an internet aspect. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110772 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Michael Havent tried it in failsafe mode yet, but that wont tell me where the problem lies particularly, just whether or not its in the core product. I realised that Ive been streaming a bunch of music the last week or so using Spotty, and thats been much better. Went back to my local library tonight and it started freezing again. I will try with failsafe, but I think it would also be useful to know which logging options would be worth cranking up to try to identify the cause. paulster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23073 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110772 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
