I had a similar issue on my installation. Didn't really notice it
because it is
Applying some kind of disambiguation to the album title seems to be the
most obvious choice.

OK, I'll go with that convention, it
Is G: a drive local to the LMS machine? From the screenshot it looks
like a share? If it's an external drive (USB), is power saving enabled
which might make it go to sleep after a while? If so, disable it?

Nope, that's it; After a few days it will show "empty", and I will have
to restart the Win 10 machine.

Hi, delurking. I have been using LMS, feeding a Transporter, hardwired.
I have a designated, old machine running an updated Win10; LMS version
8.21. There are about 70.000 tracks from 5700 albums. The last couple of
months, I have had to restart the server, the entire machine, restarting
LMS
And, yes, once this change is made LMS will separate the tracks
appropriately on the next library rescan.

I think that's MUCH less inelegant! Maybe even approaching a state of
elegance.
LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly

Thank you for all your help with this, Ronnie - it's much appreciated!

It's not elegant, but I would deal with this by changing the album title
tags to, respectively "Evanescence (EP)" and "Evanescence (LP)".
Wouldn't LMS then distinguish between them?
LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly virtual players,
occasionally with SB Radio, Boom or Classic.

Right... Failed to notice that this was a necropost. Wonder if OP ever
found the cause as there does not appear to have been any response to
his inquiry.
To provide an informed answer, poster has to provide more details on
system (CPU, OS, webUI Settings/LMS information ) and player details.
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/issues/700 has more information,
including a playlist with various streams, some of which show the high
CPU

If all the OS and LMS SSL/TLS components are not up to date - some https
processing can get excessive but usually only at startup.
For the recent poster,
Hi all,
today I found out I am experiencing a problem with a rather unusual
constellation:
In my LMS media library I have an artist with two "albums" of the same
title.
How come? Actually only one is a real album while the other one is just
an EP.
(FYI: The band is Evanescence who released a
New test VM (macOS 15) with *clean/new/vanilla* LMS installation
(8.2.1-1639114554) -> same same - like screenshots above. :-(
The thing is I'm reasonably sure that LMS default skin's current client
playlist displayed *track* artists instead of -album- artists... once
upon a time...

Can each individual speaker be reached via AirPlay?
If yes - then you could installed the Groups plugin and then set up some
groups ...
e.g.
"Zone 1" = "AirPlay Speaker 1" and "AirPlay Speaker 2"
Then you send the music to LMS player "Zone 1" and both AirPlay speakers
should play with the

Yikes! I hadn't noticed that. Obviously unrelated to the streaming mode
setting that didn't exist until recently.

Hi all, I have a Synology NAS with LMS setup and configured/running. I
am using iPeng to access it and it's connecting and playing fine.
However with iPeng I do not have any option to send to my network
enabled speakers unless I use Airplay option. I have a receiver with
MusicCast that is setup,

Looks like KFI stream is not available outside US/California. I can
access KIRO though and according to VLC the stream is not AAC but MPeG
1/2 audio. Now I'm not sure about the defaults, but seeing the high CPU
load is an indication that LMS is transcoding the stream to a different
audio format

QLMS was running for several years.
When I changed from provider and got the Ziggo Connectbox I had some
problems, but could resolve them by restarting LMS in a TTY session.
Now suddenly the SQB Touch and Duet stopped working indicating to
replace the 7.9 version by a newer version.
I noticed
