Thanks garym. I do have a backup, but only one. I know, I know I should
have two. The Vortexbox backup works flawlessly. I had backed up a
couple nights before and overwritten everything so that got me thinking
about the deleted file thing. Reading up on it now for something new to
learn.

I did try to install LMS on a 64 bit version of Pi OS. I was not able to
get any sort of webUI access to LMS. This post was the the one that lead
me to believe there was no 64bit version available

I just found out what my mistake is: a preset is not the same as a
favorite.
I had to add a "now playing radiostream" to "Favorites"
Everything works fine now.

In LMS the Favorites list is empty. See screenshot.
On the radio I have set the six presets with radio url's.
In MSB I can only see #1 - #5. (http url's)
#6 is "Radio Swiss Classic" (I think this is an https url.)
When try to set an alarmsound on the radio I don't see "Favorites",
