Michael, Thanks for that. But no ports open through my router, and the log showed nothing untoward. Jeez I feel dumb! :-( I don't 'play with' LMS it just runs for years without problems, so when it does go 'wrong' I've forgotten how I set it up in the first place. Many thanks, and especially for including the instructions on how to 'recover' my interface. Much appreciated, and all's well with the world again! :-) Regards, Daniel (Gerroa, Australia) DanielTheGreat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13031 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117163 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I don't know > about a standard tag to define the type of an album. If you're open to leveraging more of MusicBrainz' tagging: https://picard-docs.musicbrainz.org/en/appendices/tag_mapping.html#id33 https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Release_Group/Type I agree there's no universal standard for music metadata but I think that an effort should be made to overcome this in order to enhance the user experience provided by LMS. Would it not be worth thinking through what's missing from the data model that would enable LMS to provide a great experience, adding support for those missing datapoints and publishing them so that users can add them to their music, or map them to the data model if they already have relevant tags parading under another tag name? *'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* - now packaged in most Linux distributions. audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117164 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Browse Albumartist albums by Album type
Is is possible to browse albums by album type rather than have the lot appear as a mixed bag? No, that's not supported (except for the compilations). I don't know about a standard tag to define the type of an album. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
