Thanks again.

Yes, all other formats play fine

I have noticed that I go to Settings > Advanced > File Types > DSF,
there is a pulldown menu offering two options for DSF: 'Native' or
'Disabled' (I assume I need to select 'Native'?)

And just below the DSF pulldown menu, there is another pulldown menu
labelled 'FLAC' which is greyed-out (i.e., there are no changeable
options) and reading 'Disabled'. Same thing for DFF files. Does this
look correct to you?

Thanks and regards

Thanks, Mycenius

There is indeed a new DSD tab - and, when pulled down, it reads "This
player supports native playback of DSD files. DSD-over-PCM should be
configured on the player configuration interface."

I am using Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - 1578996832

Do I need to install the C-3PO Transcoding Helper plugin?

I realise that this is a bit of an old post, but I could not find
anything newer that was relevant.

I am trying to play DSF tracks on my LMV+Squeezelite Raspberry PI 3+
system. I thought it was just a matter of installing the DSDPlayer
plug-in, but that is not working. I reckon I need to do more things, but
what are they?

Can any of you provide some guidance?

Thanks in advance-

Thanks. Michael

I confirm the behaviour as you describe it:

1.- If the FTS plugin is enabled, the play All Songs link will work
correctly with the search results produced by FTS, but it won't work
with the results of 'simple search'.

2- If the FTS plugin is not enabled, the play All Songs link will work
correctly with the search results produced by 'simple search'.

Is this by design or by accident?

Best regards,

Miguel

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Search not working

2019-10-15 Thread mruano

Hi, Michael

I have come across an interesting problem: when I use the Search
function to find, for instance, all the versions of Ravel's 'Bolero'
that are stored in my NAS, LMS responds correctly by listing all of
them, which I can then pick and play individually. However, if I try to
play the 'All Songs' entry that appears at the top of the search results
list, I get no response whatsoever - nor if I try to add 'All Songs' to
the current playlist. Has the 'All Songs' click been deactivated?

Thanks and regards,

Miguel

Settings/Advanced/Performance only has two options, resize via

YES!!! That worked, thanks very much. However, removing the templates
must have triggered some default option, because now, when my library is
re-scanned, LMS has decided to lookup for album art and seems to be
resizing it. How can I stop that? (luckily, I do have a backup of the

This is a copy/paste of what I see when I

Code:

nano /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Template/Directive.pm

Code:

our $VERSION   = 2.20;
  our $DEBUG = 0 unless defined $DEBUG;
  our $WHILE_MAX = 1 unless defined $WHILE_MAX;
  our $PRETTY= 0 unless defined $PRETTY;

Yes, I am afraid I do: I have 5,127 genres - I have not bothered to edit
them, as I don't use genres very much - so they are the ones that came
with the original recordings. Would that be the cause?

Thanks for your prompt reply, Michael.

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4B with HifiBerry Dac+ Pro

OS: Armbian

Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 – 1564788734

Number of tracks:   426,873

I do get an error message in the server log: [19-08-09 11:28:03.1513]
Slim::Web::Template::SkinManager::_fillTemplate (337) Error: undef error
- WHILE loop terminated (> 1000 iterations)

I have observed that Advanced Search works well with smaller number of
tracks, but I am not sure what the precise threshold to cause it to stop
working is.

Thanks,

Miguel

Michael,

Sorry to trouble you again, but your solution does not seem to be
working. Just to make sure, the /etc/default/logitechmediaserver is
supposed to look like this?:

Code:

# User to run Logitech Media Server as
  SLIMUSER=squeezeboxserver

  SLIMOPTIONS=""

  --charset=utf8

or like this?:

Code:

# User to run Logitech Media Server as

  SLIMOPTIONS="--charset=utf8"

or like this?:

Code:

# User to run Logitech Media Server as
  SLIMUSER=squeezeboxserver

  SLIMOPTIONS=--charset=utf8

Thanks again
