Hello all,
Had to do the same, because I had set a password
Hello all,
My NAS was acting weird, even hanging recently.
I found finally that the OS partition was too full, and the reason was
the log file of the lms server reached 2.2GB!
drwxr-xr-x 1 squeezeboxserver guest 92 Dec 2 2020 .
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 268 Nov 5
Unfortunately nope. I think I did that, but jut to make sure I rebooted
now and no progress.
Next I'll try to go back in time on the LMS versions. I'm a bit scared
by the "Perl 5.1" I saw in the diagnostics of the Control Panel...
Hello Paul,
Good point. I did see at one point that it was set as Public on that
computer (the server) indeed, so I changed it to Private (which it
should have been), but it did not change anything...
Is there any chance that the reason would be, LMS install should be done
while it is set as
Hello all,
Suddenly a while ago (more or less 2/3 weeks) I could not see my LMS
server that is on on old PC running Windows 7 Premium Family Edition
6.1.7601.24545.
As I had the issue before that was solved by reinstall and restart, I
tried a few upgrades and restarts, to no avail, then came

Hello Mike,
Yes, it is working fine until now!
I did not upgrade to the next proposed nightly 8.0.1 - 1607593012
because I was a bit scared by the Release Note _below_:

Hello Roger,
This topic is covered in the following 2 threads:'
Upgraded from 7.9.1 => 7.9.4: Logitech Media Server died. Restarting.

I installed 8.0.1 and it works great, already posted here:
Hello,
I installed today the nightly 8.0.1 on the ReadyNAS Ultra 4 upgradedd to
OS6, and it works. Like a charm. Even Spotty has no issue with SSL or
anything. Just have to fully input Spotify credentials, Token, and app
Client ID to have it work.
Michael et al., I think you can keep the OS6

So... I upgraded the NAS to OS6, it went smoothly, for those who are
afraid, don't be, just Back-up before, and know that if you have
redundant disks, it takes 5

Hi Michael,
File sent by email.
Re-downloaded and reinstalled, clean, rebooted NAS in between deletion
of previous version and reinstall.

I'll go back to 7.9.3 in the meantime. 7.9.4 is called v7.9.4_unreleased
so I won't try :)

Downloading. I assume I don't need to replace/add Scan.pm for this
version?

Hello Michael and all,
I changed the SLIMOPTION and installed 7.9.3 from downloads.slidevices,
had to restart the NAS to get it to fail.
The log shows the following:
Patrick@nas-F9-09-6C:/c/.squeezeboxserver/log$ cat server.log
2020-11-23 10:21:13 squeezeboxserver_safe started.
