But if the DDRC 22D did not register the change of the file type from 44.1 to 96 then it would just not play . There is no reason it would allow the file through and play slowly which is what it did . Plus the only connection other than the DDRC 22D would be another MiniDSP unit which is the cr which uses the same input chips . Thank you for your suggestion though and as it has gone back to what seems to be normal will leave it alone I think more of a slightly annoying fault than a major one . Really puzzled about thus and appreciate that it may not be LMS that is the issue but I need to start somewhere . System - LMS - Raspberry Pi 4 8GB plus Crucial 2TB SSD HD all using Max2play Distro - Player Allo Digione on Pi 4 2GB - Digital SPDIF out to MiniDSP DDRC 22D acting as DIRAC Live DSP unit also digital volume control - Digital out then in to a MiniDSP 10 x 8 HD unit acting as Digital Crossover and DAC - Three Way active system using NVA Power Amplifiers and stacked KEF 103 Reference speakers . Now today a track from the Steve Mason Remastered Yes albums came on and played at what seemed to be half speed (ie 16 instead of 33) I know this is not relevant to digital as it has no rotation speed but this the the sound equivalent that came out with vocals and music slowed down . Track before and track after played fine (hence why this may not be an LMS issue) the main difference on the track is that the others are all CD Flac rips at 44.1 while the problem track is a 96 / 24 . Does anyone have any idea why this has happened and is there a fix to restore the correct playing speed . At that time I was using the Picoreplayer in a different room in my main system so listening to it in isolation . It was only when I brought that player up to my active system in my spare room that I was able to play both types of player side by side and then i could hear the difference . I would say that it is not a massive difference and not something you would identify in isolation but it is there and now that my server , player and other items all have good LPSU attached the difference is more noticeable and for me at least worth having . I am running LMS on a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB unit which has no player functions just runs LMS . I have a Crucial CX8 SSD 2 TB attached with my Library . However when I turn on the player in my spare room which is a Raspberry Pi 4 2GB plus Allo Digione as streamer / digital player I choose a Random Mix and Songs Mix and the mix starts but before the first track finishes the player seems to reboot and disconnects from LMS . After about two minutes the player reconnects and the song starts again but often it shows that the next song in the queue is playing and not the song that is actually playing. In order to reset this I have to choose another song and start that . This only happens when I first turn on the player and once it has corrected itself the player will play with no other issues . I have uploaded my current server log in case anyone can spot the issue and advise what I could do the correct this. I use Max2play software for my LMS on Raspberry Pi and have used this for about five years upgrading the Pi as a new quicker version came out. I have been using the Pi 4 4GB since it came out and the Max2play beta download was available. I only use this Pi as a pure LMS server with a 2 TB USB HD attached with my library . I also purchased a Flirc case and this has reduced the operating temperature to around 42/43 deg which i feel is fine. Pi 4 is smoother , faster and in my view more stable that the Pi3 + . A full scan does take around three minutes overall quicker than before but once this has done then upgrades to the LMS version , searches and instructions for next track etc are much quicker and smoother. I feel the Rpi 4 is a huge upgrade and offers response and feel that is in line with many expensive purpose built (and expensive) streamers / network players. I would reccomend an upgrade to Rpi 4 . I am sure there are people out there who can use the added RAM to give other advantages but as this is beyond my talents I will wait and then keep an eye on developments.
