I don't actually know what that means. I mainly use SqueezCtrl with the

Yes, from the dropdown. If there's a file stored somewhere that I can
manually edit, that would work. Maybe Michael knows.

Actually, I'm not completely clear on this.
I can go to advanced search and search for songs based on modified date
and then play "all songs" on shuffle. That's the desired effect.
I don't see saved searches on my interface, or how to save them. I also
don't see how a library view enters into

Random mix problem #1:
For the last several days, one artist that is admittedly heavily
represented in my very large library, but still represents only a
percent or two of the total, has been showing up as anywhere from 40%
to 75% of the tracks when I load random songs.

The alarm function only allows one volume level setting for all alarms.
I'd like to listen to one thing at 11:05 PM at 66%, something else at
66% at 5:00 AM, then something else (my actual *alarm*) at 100% at 6:00

Here's what I learned this morning, when my 6:00 AM alarm triggered a

You may be right. I really need my entire library in random mix...like

It looks like maybe checking -no- genres is the same as checking them
all. It would be nice to have that confirmed by someone who knows the
programming.

Unless last night's rescan put the genre count over some limit, it's a

Thanks. There are 3,979 genres. Basically, none are checked. I never
unchecked them, or had to check them before. Is there a way I can tell
it to use all 3,979 of them
Another data point:
When I go to the player's settings for "Don't Stop The Music" and change
it from Random Songs to Song Mix, DSTM works properly. I don't
understand the difference between these two options, and I have no way
of selecting the latter from the Random Mix menu under My Music.
Also, I have a 6:00AM alarm that plays random songs. All through the
night last night, random songs was fine. This behavior began when it
kicked in a new random songs playlist when the alarm triggered it (the
purpose is a change from 66% volume to 100% volume).
I went and selected an album to
I've never seen this behavior before. I have a large library. Random
Songs is only getting tracks from a tiny subset of them. It looks like
just the most recent New Music is included. That's unclear because this
past week I set up a new server and scanned in the whole library without

The basic idea is if I add a song to a particular playlist, that song
would be copied to a separate directory, but not necessarily inside the

Here's my log. can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Any

have a reason to after tonight's nightly scan, I'll do a complete
