Bravo very cool to use the temp playback feature in a playlist ! :)
That volatile file handler is way more helpful than I initially thought.
It helped me implement various features like continuing playback during
a wipe & rescan, d'n'd playback of any file through your browser.

If you don't mind editing your playlists in a text editor: use LMS 7.9,
replace all file:// urls in your playlist with tm
If I do it like that, i can't play the playlists from LMS.
What I want is to be able to play the playlists via the playlist menu,
but not have its entries added to the LMS library.

its "easy" and "simple..
- add a group like lms where you and squeezeboxserver are members.
- set permissions to the Folder that lms should scan to lms
- unset permissions where lms shoulndt scan to you
- reboot
- rescan
- be happy

They should not really clutter if they point to the same files as the
playlist are made from ? Then LMS will see that it is a duplicate
entries and the same file and thus not ass it to the dB again .
