...doesn't show the problem anymore.
The behaviour I see now, is as follows:
-> after a few minutes, a first scan takes place and there is no
subsequent scan after an hour or two hours (just as you said)
-> in the Online Music Library Integration plugin, the Deezer setting
has been

Ok, new builds should be out in a few hours. Please note that a first
scan will still be triggered. But an hour later it should no longer
happen. Reason is that the "import" would calculate a checksum for your
library which the poller

Yes. I have only a free account and no collection at all. And yes it is
Oh, I believe the "free" is key here: the importer does not run unless
there's a Premium account. But the update checker does not respect this
difference. Therefore the check would always run in a scan, which
wouldn't do
As expected, after an hour the next scan:

Hi again,
I have turned the 'Online Music Library Integration' plugin on at
~21.00. Seven minutes later, I had first scan. Pls. find the scanner.log
attached.
This seems to be the corresponding entry in the server.log:
-[21-01-19 21:07:21.0249] Slim::Music::Import::countImporters (624)

Yes. I have only a free account and no collection at all. And yes it is
working - I had verified it before replying ;-).

Yes, I have been and I am still using Deezer once in while.
So you have it configured on mysqueezebox.com, and it's working as
expected? But you don't want your Deezer collection to be imported into
LMS' local library?
I remember having browsed through the plugins after the update and,
...in hindsight, the one thing that might have helped me understand is
if the 'start scan' entry in the squeezeboxserver.log would refer to the
plugin that triggered it (as it can be seen with some other entires in
the same log).
I think the default is that scans happen if one of the supporting
streaming services is configured.
So the action to take if you do not want it is the one that you did ...
disable it.

Hi Michael,
Yes, I have been and I am still using Deezer once in while.
I remember having browsed through the plugins after the update and,
noticing some new ones, activated a few. It could very well be that I
have enabled the 'Online Music Library Integration' one (because I
thought that
Disabling the unnecessarily active 'Online Music Library Integration'
plugin seems to have solved my problem - no re-scan in 1 1/2 hours !
I'd still like to understand why it got triggered. Because no scan
should be triggered if you're not using a music service. Are you using any?

The re-scan itself is not a problem but the 'Database Optimize' takes
two minutes and my old, soon-to-be-replaced system becomes unresponsive
which is a bit of a pain. I have automatic re-scan disabled (Advanced -

Hi,
I have updated recently from 7.9.1 (1518987734) to 8.1.1 (1609569900). I
think since then the LMS is re-scanning my library every hour, e.g.:
-Album cover lookup (3 of 3) Complete 00:00:01
Artist picture lookup (1 of 1) Complete 00:00:00
Building full text index (7 of 7)
